Adam Rooney

Owner, Trainer, Centre IQA

Served for 22 years a full career in the Army serving in his local county regiment the Cheshire Regiment & Mercian Regiment. An instructor in varying fields. Posted for two years to train the T.A now the reserves as a senior staff instructor. On leaving kept on the same theme with training and started delivering First Aid and H&S courses in 2011. Now concentrating on the First Aid.

Ex Army Sgt within the Royal Army Medical Corps with over 16 years front line trauma experience. Numerous tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, fulfilled a new recruit instructor post leaving with honours in 2017 to move into a First Aid training instructor role, delivering various course including First Aid at Work & Paediatric First Aid.

Also, fulfilled a new recruit instructor post leaving with honours in 2017 to move into a First Aid training instructor role, delivering various course including First Aid at Work & Paediatric First Aid.

First Aid & Fire Trainer

Employed as a Fire Fighter in the third busiest fire station in Europe by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service. Upon promotion I served as a Community Fire Safety Officer, designing power point presentations to deliver safety workshops  to various groups, numbering from individuals (youth offenders), to over 100 (fresher’s week at local Universities). Successful workshops undertaken at various industries, primary care trusts, primary/high/special schools and sixth form colleges, home watch groups and partner agencies working alongside the fire service in the community including Princes Trust. Utilising my 30 year career I have delivered fire marshal training to numerous companies. I have also co-hosted two local radio shows, providing basic life skills information. These activities helped enhance my communication skills.

Tony had a full career in the British Army (Welsh Guards) for 24 years then became a SSI and DofE coordinator team full time at The King’s school . He has taught first aid on a range of courses for over 10 years and has completed qualifications in both teaching and assessing. Background in HR Management (15 years +) but with a passion for wellbeing. Worked as a Volunteer Counsellor for Childline and Shout. MHFA England Instructor since 2018.

Qualified to deliver:

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid (two day)
  • Mental Health Champion (one day)
  • Mental Health Awareness (half day)
  • Mental Health Refresher (half day)
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid (two day)

We offer bespoke training/workshops in specific wellbeing areas.

Associate trainer for charities Chasing the Stigma, Drinkaware and Mind.

We can supply wellbeing boxes for corporate and personal gifting.
